The Church of St. Nicholas in Ingrave is Grade II* listed, and is set back off a busy main road. Exterior illumination was poor, meaning it was not very visible to the community or passers by at night time. We were asked if we could provide a cost effective solution to rectify this, removing the existing faulty 400w Sodium floodlight and replacing it with an LED floodlight. It was important for the church to have some additional control over the colour output of the new fitting. A 100w colour changing floodlight was chosen, and following a lighting trial, the church wanted to proceed. Just 1 floodlight was to be installed to replace the existing, and a new astronomical timeclock replaced the previous mechanical timeclock, meaning the light would come on at sunset throughout the year until a chosen time, with no additional user intervention. The colour of the floodlight can be changed using an RF handheld remote control for special events or kept as white for normal every day illumination.
