ALL SAINTS CHURCH stands at the heart of Ridgmont and
continues to host a wide range of religious and community functions.
Following the disconnection of the church’s oil boiler for safety
reasons, an alternative heating solution was urgently required to
ensure the building remained usable throughout the year.
Scope of works
• Integration of modern electrical heating without reliance on a
central boiler system
• Full testing and certification on completion
Outcome
The newly installed shortwave infrared heaters have restored
welcome warmth to All Saints Church, ensuring continuity of worship
• Installation of 8no 3kW BN-Thermic shortwave infrared heaters,
complete with magic lamps, within the nave
• Design of a heating layout to provide effective coverage of the
worship space
and community activities. The solution provides fast-acting, efficient
heating that avoids the complexity and safety concerns associated
with the former oil-fired system, while remaining sympathetic to the
historic interior
